Great place to eat, especially on Thursdays during classic car night in Westmont. This was my first time here but I had a feeling it would be good. We started off with appetizers for the group. I highly recommend the loaded poutine. The short rib is phenomenal with pickled red onion and charred jalapenos. I finally found a good poutine around here! We also ordered Hummus and Wings. I really enjoy Neat Kitchen Bar, which is why I decided to return with a group of three about a month after our first visit. We went on a busy Monday night and the place was packed, but it's definitely a popular spot for good reason. We ordered the same two appetizers as last time - the mussels and crispy chicken bao buns - and they were just as delicious as we remembered. Neat Kitchen Bar is a great spot for Happy Hour drinks. Their well spirits, draft beer, and wine are all $5, and classic cocktails are $7-$8. Happy Hour on Fridays also includes $5 off appetizers. Our bartender, Justin, was fantastic – he was friendly, made perfectly balanced drinks, and had a nice chat with us. We started with a gin and tonic and a cosmo. The cosmo was surprisingly not too heavy on cranberry juice. I then tried a Lavender 75 with vodka, which had a great champagne fizz, subtle lavender, and lemon flavors. We were there this past weekend and while the menu indicates there is a happy hour it wasn 't advertised in the restaurant or on my bill for our wine. Perhaps it was just at the bar, but then I wish the Specials tab on the site would indicate that. We ordered the Black and Blue Burger and the Texican Burger w/ fries and brussel sprouts. I liked my Black/Blue had a good blend of the bacon and blue cheese. My husband thought the Texican was just okay had hoped to taste the chorizo more. The fries were a bit bland needed salt/pepper (but neither spice was on the table) and the sprouts were just okay. First time going to Neat Kitchen, and it won't be my last! I went with my dad for lunch, and they had a few great lunch specials going on, however we both opted to get something else. I ended up with the prosciutto and mozzarella sliders. They were simple yet flavorful, and the roasted garlic aioli paired very well with them. My dad got the mussels which come with chorizo, harissa, and Chardonnay sauce. Those were excellent, some of the better mussels I've tried. They have plenty of salads if you're looking for something lighter, and also several vegetarian options. Service was great, and the bar looked very nice with countless options of whiskey.

I've been here another time, but tonight came on a Friday night and it's super loud and busy. They got us in quite quick despite how busy it was. I was disappointed to give a 3 because I remember the food being better. I got the Texican burger. The chicharrón didn't add much to the burger. It was good, but I've had much better burgers elsewhere. My boyfriend had the black and blue burger and the bacon was way overcooked and the blue cheese flavoring was overwhelming, he didn't even finish it. The pop he got was in a small cup and had so much ice it quickly became watered down. Not worth the price for the quality

I have visited this restaurant many times and they always maintain a high level of consistency. We enjoy sitting in the back bar for drinks and food, with the bartenders suggesting new drinks for us to try. All the bartenders are knowledgeable about whiskeys and other drinks. Getting to know the bartenders is always a plus! The food is tasty, with a great burger and pulled pork sandwich on the menu. Most of the dishes can be categorized as comfort food. First time here, had a great lunch a draft. Their short rib grilled cheese sandwich is awesome. Their Neat slaw is also killer. Enjoyed a draft Beezer...so good. This place look like it would do very well in the evening, I'll have to come back. Very good size bar, decent draft, bottle and can selection. And... looks to be a very nice whiskey selection. Service was spot on. Ambiance is chill. Definitely a good spot to spend some time.
