Have been coming here from the beginning and know the owner Hem well. Used to always dine at Hem’s previous restaurant in Malvern and have followed him ever since. Hem has his own food stand at both the Vic Market summer and winter markets and then this main restaurant. The food is so good here. You have to start off with the momo’s they are amazing and the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Our favourite is the chicken momo’s but lamb is good too. For mains the goat curry, chicken curry and chilli chicken are our favourites but any of the dishes would be tasty. Get with rice and roti. Friend had a coupon for this place so we went, the small area looks a bit dodgy so had low expectations but were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and pleasant, we ordered lots of different dishes, all very good and tasty and with the coupon the dinner was very well priced. We had 3 kids who made mess, it wasn't a big deal, so overall very happy, definitely will be going back.
Ordered the meal based on the name of the dish I had the last time I was there (granted it was two years ago) but it came out and it was totally different and I was so disappointed. When they came to clear the table there was no questioning as to why there was so much left. Nothing. Not a great way to see if your customer is happy or. It.
This is an excellent local gem the food is really delicious, and it is great value for money. Highly recommended. The shared entrée plate is a great starter (the aloo chop in particular), and I recommend the goat curry.

Friendly, great value, very tasty food. Try some of the curries and the tapas, which are all cooked beautifully and deep in flavour. BYO and licensed. Great for a cold Melbourne night.

Quick, easy and authentic, and on a packed Friday night. Will return. Goat curry and dessert dumpling were a highlight! Host and staff were a delight.
