We visit Almeria recently and discovered this bar in a district just off the centre . It was a Tuesday evening and other bars nearby were quiet but this bar was very busy with local people of all ages from the neighbourhood no tourists whatsoever !! Spoke with some of the locals who reaffirm the popularity of the bar run by 2 older men , brothers. Stand up by the bar , order local house wine and any of the fine selection of tapas they're all good. This is for sure my favourite tapas bar in the city no english spoken just point gesticulate and enjoy the experience

The first tapas with a drink comes free in Almeria, so ordering extra drinks just makes it cheaper. We had 3 amazing lomo a la plancha sandwiches (originally ordered 1! that were tender, juicy and well seasoned, some lovely jamon, a sort of stew, mushrooms in sherry and 3 beers. All came to only €12:30. Great service, very patient with our lack of Spanish. Well recommended

Very, very traditional and much appreciated. Despite my gross inability with languages (even my own) I successfully ordered a beer and some spicy sausage, both were very good and ridiculously inexpensive. I would have love to have spend several hours here, but I did not have a lot of washing to be done. Highly Recommended

Unpretentious local tapas bar with friendly staff. Used my basic Spanish they then gave us a tapa menu in English. Best Tinto de Verrano we've tasted so far(a drop of Martini makes a lot of difference). Super Mojama (dried tuna) and fish del dia were very tasty. It's a definite for a return visit
