This is one of the strangest reviews ever written. We have been driving past this place for years and didn't know what was inside. We have been looking for good Chinese food in the Keller area since 2003. We tried New China on a recommendation from a friend. That recommendation also came with a caveat. Don't eat in the restaurant. Take it to go. Well, we didn't heed the advice, but now I pass along the same words. Eat New China. Just take your food to go. The dining room is horrible. The first time New China tries on 377, at the Watauga/Keller border. Called in an order for 3 lunch (iron roll at $6.95 each. Shrimp Lo Mein, Kung Po Chicken with peanuts and chicken with cashew nuts. (On the photo, Kung Po on the left, Chicken Cashews on the right side. Plentiful (like lunch! , very fresh. My order was ready at the time it was planned and I was in and out within a few minutes. Felt, like I was wearing about 6 pounds of food. Definitely will try some of their other dishes from their extensive menu.
Best Chinese cuisine in the city, I am from top to north and this is the next place I can find from the north taste. Everything is tasty and tasteful, it really surprises me because I expected only ok food, but everything I ordered so far is filled with taste! I only add the shrimp and broccoli photo, but I also had other things as I said it is all tasteful!
3.5 stars. To-go order was ready as promised. Ma Po Tofu was delicious. Happy Family was good. General Tso's chicken could have been Craspier. Lo mine was average. Chicken roasted rice was underwhelming. Hot and acid soup was very good. All-in for the meal was about $60.
