New City Restaurant

I've practically have had everything (everything that I would actually eat) on the menu and I don't think I've ever been disappointed. The portions are huge and the prices are good; I usually can't finish a meal by myself so I'm set for the next day's lunch. I would definitely recommend the Hong Kong style french toast which is totally different from the normal french toast that might come to mind. They take two extra thick slices of bread, smear some peanut butter in the middle, dip it in egg, fry it and it's served with a giant slice of butter and syrup; heaven. Don't want something sweet? After conducting a quick search on the restaurants within close proximity of my physio place (also read as: reading numerous reviews on), it was decided that we would try out New City Restaurant for lunch. Many yelp users had had mixed feelings about the atmosphere and food, but two common points present in their reviews were that the servers were always friendly and that meals were considerably budget-friendly.

This is just another one of my go-to cafes in the area. New City has very fast service and good food for the price you are paying. I always love what I order (I don't think I've had a bad experience here). Visit if you're looking for a quick lunch afternoon snack!

I really appreciate the affordability and delicious taste of all-day breakfasts at Hong Kong style cafes. I ordered Combo C for just $6.50, which included Bread with Butter, Beef Brisket Rice Noodle in Soup, and Bacon Scrambled Eggs. It was a great deal!
