Palace of India is a little curry take away shop on the western end of Enmore Road, past the Enmore Theatre, and unfortunately its everything but a palace. Came here after a night out in Newtown recently and whilst I wasn't expecting the greatest feast I wasn't that impressed but the food on offer. Sure, it was Sunday night (Monday morning, technically) and they were probably on the verge of closing for the night but the food was luke warm at best, watery and oily. Took almost 2 hours to deliver despite being a 6 minute drive from us. They were unhelpful and unapologetic on the phone. The food was cold the butter chicken and chicken korma were liquid and the chicken was from thigh meat not breast. There wasnt much taste to either and way too sloppy why is it so watered down?! It should be a sauce not a soup! This is my 2nd indian takeaway in Australia they are so much better in England. The only thing i liked was the chicken tikka starter even though that was cold as well.
I've never written a review before but for this I had to! i just had the worst takeaway lamb rogan josh since I can remember, it was cold when I received and tasted awful.. No love at all!
Vegetarian options! I had rice with curry vegetables and it was only $9.00. It could have easily fed 2 people. The establishment is clean and the staff is friendly.
We ordered delivery from this place and they have a good deal for first time orderersThey delivery came earlier than expected, which was good.

Twenty-six years is a pretty good innings for a restaurant, particularly in Sydney's fickle market.
