New Mukut Indian Cuisine

We decided to drop in for dinner on Saturday night on a whim. The ambiance was lovely, enhanced by soft Indian music in the background. We started with the Bahji Onion appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and served hot. For our main courses, I had the traditional beef curry while my partner ordered the butter chicken. We also shared some rice and naan. The portion sizes were just right; we felt satisfied without being overly full or uncomfortable. The portions were unbelievably small, and I won’t be ordering from this place again. I paid $14 for just two tablespoons of curry. Save your money and look for better options elsewhere. I love Indian cuisine and enjoy trying new restaurants, but this was my first letdown. The flavor just wasn’t impressive, and as someone who is half Indian, I feel I can confidently say that.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian, this is by far one of the best restaurants that offers it. It’s affordable, delicious and usually doesn’t take much time to prepare. The dining are is a bit small, but it makes for a more intimate and authentic dining experience. I highly recommend New Mukut to anyone that is looking for authentic and good Indian food

If I could give negative stars, I definitely would! This was the worst food I've ever had. Please stop deceiving people with such low-quality dishes! The curry was overly sweet, and when we ordered biryani, they served us plain rice with frozen vegetables instead. It was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend this place at all…

I used to dine here every Friday when I lived in Ottawa, and I still talk about this place. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the flavors are incredible. The owner is really sweet as well. I used to order the samosa and tikka masala with a side of naan. You definitely need to give it a try!

Dahl soup was watery and flavour-less. Both the butter chicken and lamb korma were very oily and overly sweet. It seems to have been made by someone who hates Indian food. Gross.
