This place is a true neighborhood gem that will satisfy all your diner cravings (excellent Turkey bacon club , home cooked Mexican classics like sopes (and don’t miss their delicious salsas and fried-to-order chips! , and even southern comforts like chicken fried steak with gravy.The portions are enormous, the staff and cooks are super friendly, and the restaurant is extremely clean and cozy.It took me a while to check out what was behind the unassuming storefront on North Ave, but I am so glad to live near enough to walk, and encourage everyone to check out this Galewood classic!

When you see Specials on the menu, they mean it (portion wise). It was quick Hi, sit where you like. And then I was given coffee. Simple.The menu is grand but because the food is simple AND good, it doesn 't need to be. Worth it and will come again.
