I held my son's baptism at Nicolas a few months ago. I had intended to call and let them know how wonderful our day was, but life with a newborn can get pretty hectic! Nicolas exceeded all of my expectations for the event. The decorations, centerpieces, wine, and other items I brought the night before were all set up for us, so my family didn't have to do anything before the party. The food was excellent. The calamari was lightly fried and the butter nut squash risotto was cooked perfectly tender. Bread that came with the table was house made with a delicate crust and not from restaurant depot like a lot of other restaurants. However, I must say the portion to price ratio was way off. Particularly on the entrees we ordered. Should have came with more for the $40+ price tag per dish. Even if it was just the sides. That being said the service was exceptional. We recently hosted a baby celebration for my daughter and son-in-law at Nicola's on Sunday. The service, food, and attention to detail were exceptional. I arrived early to set up the wine, cake, favors, and welcome sign, and the staff took care of everything for me from start to finish. The party guests were all impressed with the delicious food and top-notch service. Many thanks to Nick and the staff for their outstanding service. It was a truly lovely day. I highly recommend Nicola's for any type of event, as well as for dinner!
