I had no idea this restaurant existed before our friends Tony and Catherine invited us tonight. On a tiny street a block west of the river in a mostly residential area is a hidden gem that you will not regret. Very simply decorated, the room is warm, both literally and figurative, and welcoming. The service was excellent given that only a woman, probably the owner, treats the front of the house, while a gentleman, her husband or a brother likely to spit delicious meals in the back. We had a bottle of Dao 13,50 €, a sturdy, deep red and oak, as I like it, between us together with a large bottle of foam water. Very nice restaurant, with really good food that is prepared with a lot of attention to detail. Staff is really friendly too. We were a party of 8, and had insisted on eating outside, mostly because we had a 2 year old with us. The lovely woman had tried to get us to sit indoors as it looked like it could rain. Well it did, and as it began to pour she and her staff happily moved us indoors. She was very gracious about setting us up inside where we had a really good meal for our last night in Tavira. Most of us had different entrees and without exception, they were all wonderful

Tivemos uma refeição fantástica a um preço razoável. O serviço foi excelente e a garçonete falava inglês excelente. Pudemos levar nosso cachorro, mas ele é bem comportado. Era um restaurante popular e muitas pessoas faziam reservas. Havia muitos americanos porque Tavira parece popular para eles viverem. Eu recomendaria este restaurante, mas na alta temporada eu definitivamente faria uma reserva.

We have had a property in the area for 14 years and have never visited until a friend recommended it . Have just returned from our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last. The service and food was amazing., generous portions and wonderful food . Definitely recommend the sole and John Dory fish stew. The creme brûlée was fabulous . Ótimo jantar. Nós dois comemos dourada assada com mexilhões e um camarão gigante e legumes em um molho delicioso. Eles fizeram uma bela salada mista para nós, que não estava no menu. Também gostei do vinho da casa. A comida era excelente caseira. E tudo isto por menos de 50 euros. Imbatível.

Great dinner. We both had the baked seabream with mussels and a giant prawn and vegetables in a delicious sauce. They made a nice mixed salad for us, which was not on the menu. Also enjoyed the house wine. The food was excellent home cooking. And all that for less than 50 euros. Unbeatable.

Could not fault this place, the hostess had us relaxed from the minute we arrived, we will be remembering the food for a long time, and the house wine went down very well too! We would be back if we could

Always a warm welcome, friendly staff and the best food. We have been 4 times in 2 weeks as its so good. Mussels, steak and meatballs all fantastic. Worth booking as always busy Réservez une table maintenant
