I only gave this dinner cruise four stars because of one significant thing that could be improved. More on that in a moment. The Dandy Dinner cruise is really wonderful. You get there on the MetroLine Blue by taking it all the way to King Street in Alexandria Virginia, then taking the free trolley to the end of King Street. The boat launches from The Strand, which is a block and a half to the east. The ship is really nice, it's a bit old, but that lets it pass beneath some very low bridges up the Potomac. We got served right away after a 6:30 boarding time. Cantaloupe and strawberries followed by bread, salad, then wonderful prime rib and cod with huge potatoes! The house Merlot was good and...

We were visiting DC and found a Groupon for a $20 savings off the website price and purchased on an impulse. We arrived for the Sunday night cruise and were welcomed aboard and promptly escorted to our table. Less than half the tables were full, so not crowded at all. Our server was friendly and he took our drink order inmediately. I thought $45 for a bottle of wine that is $8 retail was excessive, but we ordered anyway. Our table had the poached salmon which was good but not great, the stuffed shrimp covered in a cream sauce, the best thing we had, and the prime rib which I couldn't cut through with my table knife, I had to ask for a steak knife, definately would not recommend it. Desert wa...

The view is beautiful at night. Lovely and calm. There is dancing on the ship and a live piano with dinner. It was maddening that the pianist had to play HAPPY BIRTHDAY 6 different times. It is so completely annoying that a wonder song being played would completely stop just to play HAPPY BIRTHDAY again and again. I have been on this ship 3 different times. The food is completely that of buffet foods of the 1970s. It is bland and boring and awful. They charge you for coffee. There is an automatic large service charge. I think I was charge for soda. I only went a 3rd time because we had a Group-On that was about $25 a person. When we got our bill that include 2 glasses of wine person and coff...

This is an inclusive experience. You get a 3 hour Potomac River cruise from Alexandria up to Washington. The views are excellent and the narration informative. You get a 5 course meal (you select the main course when you book or before sailing) which includes some beverages. A full bar is available. Tax and tip are included in the booking price. An outdoor deck is available during the cruise and dinks are permitted there. Dancing is offered on the return leg of the cruise. Lunch, brunch and dinner cruises are offered and cruises go year round. At times, special theme cruises are offered with special pricing and special deals. Check the web site for further details and you can always call wit... Réservez une table maintenant

Had not been on the Dandy in a number of years, but remembered it from when I lived in the area, they didn't disappoint. Although the original ship and captain have been retired since I last sailed, the food and service were still up to par. A few updates to the décor would enhance the experience, but did not distract from it. Very clean restrooms, great tableside service, and wonderful food. Cruising the Potomac was always one of my favorite things to do after a great meal. Our experience with dinner cruises has been the best in Mexico, but this is the best in the states. If you're in the area, don't miss this opportunity...

Firstly, the boat is extremely old and the decor is so dated. Windows are scratched up. Secondly, the boat doesn’t even go close to anything. Barely see any monuments or anything special as they advertise on their website and ads. Not worth it at all. Did not get to see anything special AT ALL. Only the food was good. Not amazing, just alright. I will not recommend this cruise to anyone. Nothing special at all here.

The Dandy and Nina's Dandy are nice trips up and down the Potomac River. The vistas of Virginia and DC are something from the river. The food can be decent but not always. The price seems a little high if you don't hit them on a good night. They really try to do their best, but it's a frantic service time. Enjoy the views ... accept the food.

What a classy night out on the potomac. Great food, great atmosphere. Couldnt have been happier with the experience. And the prime rib was phenomenal. Wow! (Traducido por Google) Qué noche más elegante en el Potomac. Buena comida, gran ambiente. No podría haber estado más feliz con la experiencia. Y la costilla era fenomenal. ¡Guau! Sunday Brunch from old town to G-town. Great to view the sites and enjoy the Dandy. The Food was very! Good, and the service was efficient. Variety of Entrees and sides to suit the most discriminating in taste. Complimentary 1st drink- Enjoyed it for my Birthday celebration.
