Nineteen61 is my favorite place to eat in Lakeland and its reputation is beyond well earned! It is my husband's and I my go-to spot for any celebration in town and Lakeland's best restaurant for special occasions; its Latin vibe and beautiful ambiance add so much character and fun to the downtown area. Every time we have visited, we are always blown away by the beautiful atmosphere, top-notch service, and above all the FOOD. On our most recent trip, I tried the Pulpo 61, 1961 Salad, and Pollo a la Brasa. Everything, especially the pollo, was incredible! Nineteen61 is a gem located in downtown Lakeland. This place has an amazing atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and efficient. We visited for lunch and the service was amazing. The front of house staff were able to get us a table for our party (4 adults and 2 kids). They welcomed us like we were regulars. The service is efficient and kind. We could see the chef at the expo station making sure all dishes were perfect prior to leaving the kitchen. Our food was exquisite! The seasoning was perfect. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was vibrant, and our host Paloma was warm and welcoming. She even helped create a birthday card for me, and the menu had birthday wishes printed on it, which was a thoughtful touch. Our waiter, Zach, was a joy to have. He was very knowledgeable, and his suggestions truly enhanced our experience. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, calamari, open-faced chicken sandwich, and Lomo Saltado. This restaurant was incredible! We had the empanadas and croquetas for starters and for lunch we had the arroz con pollo and bistec sandwich. Everything was delicious and well seasoned! The star of the show was Niel! His hospitality and attention are unmatched. Such a pleasant vibe he brings to the restaurant. The owner was also there and was incredibly attentive and nice! This was my first time and won’t be the last time dining at this establishment. Joe was a phenomenal waiter. He was attentive to our needs. Everything he suggested was delicious. Thank you so much Joe! Hopefully on our next visit we can have you again. Going to definitely stop in on a Tuesday and go upstairs. *wink wink*
Hello, Please don't insult the Peruvian gastronomic, or maybe you can put Arroz con Pollo in Google and see if looks anything like what you sell. Teach your chef to cook authentic food from the native country. Other than that, customer service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean.
Amazing experience!!! Meadow was so sweet and paid attention to detail. We brought my mom for her birthday and they gave her a card that the staff signed. The complimentary champagne was a nice touch as well. Food was great! The tres leche was so good Réservez une table maintenant
