After 'Sneha Indian Restaurant ' shutdown for good, the need for affordable Indian food was filled by 'Persis ' which timed its opening perfectly to get the rebound 'Sneha ' customers. The location used to be a Pakistani restaurant but now serves Indian food under a different management. Its a no frills place but then again you are there for the food and not the ambience i suppose. The food is excellent. They don 't skimp on the spice level so nothing is Americanized . We tried the paneer tikka masala, chicken chettinad, babycorn 65, cut mirchi and few other items and everything was good. That said i usually order my Indian fix spicy but these guys take spicy pretty seriously so i suggest st...

I'm pausing between bites to write this because the food is absolutely amazing, and I am so thrilled to have discovered this gem. They truly deserve all the praise! I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine and have sampled it in numerous places across the United States and even in the UK. Of all the highly-rated restaurants, Persis Biryani in Tallahassee, FL, was our favorite. However, after moving to Maryland and trying some of the best spots in the state— including one restaurant in Columbia that's reputed to be among the top Indian restaurants on the East Coast— I was starting to lose hope of finding exceptional Indian food. But THIS restaurant completely surpasses them all! It turns out they are...

My kids were eager to try the Special Biryani after seeing it on the menu. In terms of flavor, it was excellent, but it does pack quite a bit of heat that builds up quickly. We all ended up alternating bites with naan bread to balance it out. My oldest ordered a glass of milk and started adding the watery yogurt sauce to his dish. We also had the Gobi Manchurian, which surprisingly won over our picky eater who usually avoids veggies. Our middle child ordered butter chicken, and he devoured it in no time. I got Palak Paneer for my wife and specifically asked for it to be mild, just in case they used any spicy ingredients. She took a small bite and immediately said it was too spicy. The rest o...

Has Sunday buffett. It's not your typical run of the mill Indian buffet that is prevalent in the US. Excellent selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Piping hot idlis (steamed rice pancakes) with three different chutneys coconut, mint, peanut. But I recommend trying the goat curry masala with the idli. There was jackfruit briyani which was amazing. Never seen it ever in any Indian restaurant in over a score years in the US. There was rare delicacies like mushroom curry, baby corn, crispy bonda, delicious Pongal (south Indian staple rice with lentils) that pairs well with sambhar. For soup lovers, there is rasam tamarind base, spicy soup that is perfect for cold winter day. Attu... Réservez une table maintenant

Took a chance on this place, as they do not have too many reviews compared to others. However, I am absolutely glad I did. This Indian food is on 1000!! The taste/flavor profiles is familiar, but next level. For example, the butter chicken completely altered my expectation of what butter chicken should taste like. My roommate had to lock his leftovers in the fridge. I was still successful in stealing some. The goat Korma was delightful. I wish it wasn't bone in, but that doesnt take away from the taste at all. Leave some for the next day, and you will be blessed by getting an even better meal, as the seasonings will have time to get all the way through the food. 10/10 if crack tasted like th...

Like many other local restaurants, we discovered Indian Delight during the pandemic via delivery. The food is consistently fresh and authentically spiced. While one could always stand more chicken in the chicken biranyi, the meat dishes are fairly proportioned...and who only orders a main dish during take out anyway? The menu is extensive enough and offers many protein and vegetarian options. Highly recommended.

My family of 4 who are not Indian walked in and were seated, no menus or drinks were offered, we sat for 10 minutes and another table came in , 2 Indian guys, the waitress asked them if they had ordered and started to serve them ignoring us and not making eye contact. At that point we walked out as we were not welcome. I understand they were understaffed but it seems like discrimination.

We often dine at this restaurant for our Friday night meals. The food is usually fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. We consider it one of the best options in the area that we’ve discovered. Just a tip: make sure to check your order before leaving. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant

If you enjoy a long wait and rude service, then this is the place for you. There are better options a mile away on Route 40. After a few frustrating visits, we switched to Kebab Hut.
