Walking in, I was a little nervous. We have a family of 6 and the place was small. But honestly the good aroma of fried chicken, plus LeBron and curry play offs kept us from turning around. I'm so glad we stayed. Everything tasted amazing. I love juicy fried chicken. It was not dry at all. The skin was crispy, and the flavors we had were great. The order of fries and onion rings was satisfying and big. The squid was chewy but ok. The sweet tea was horrible. It was actually just a can of brisk tea. Excellent spot. The chicken is crispy and flavorful with a lot of meat on the bones. I got the combo. Cabbage salad that comes on the side was a sleeper hit I wasn’t expecting! Loved the dressing, I’m pretty sure they use the kewpie sesame salad dressing. Ordered my yangyum chicken at “spicy” level. I could have gone up to “extra spicy.” Good value for all that you get. The service was great! I came during the lunch rush and got food pretty fast and the waitress was kind and knowledgeable.
This place really deserves a 3.5-3.9...I love a good crispy chicken dish with the green onion topping from No1 plus. One time I went in there one of the staff members sneezed into his hands and then touched my food boxes, but I forgive them for it. Can't eat it too often though because it's definitely got lots of MSG and salt etc. Getting this tonight!
Highly recommend if you want some good authentic chicken! My only complaint would be how small it is and how it smelled like sewage (it was pouring rain at the time) outside but that isn't necessarily the restaurant's fault. Service was excellent, they will wait on you with hand and foot.
