Excellent in every way. I noticed several reviews with three stars and want to comment on the service charge. The service was brilliant, friendly and very helpful. They even asked my wife on a scale of 1 to 10 how spicy she wanted her Virgin Mary drink it was 6 and was extraordinarily good. The service charge was 10% on the bill and considering most restaurants now go for 12.5% very very good value. The ambiance was lovely but most important, the food was some of the best we have tasted for a long time. Yes, the sirloin was £30 but it was all excellent and precisely cooked to order. The Noah's Ark is located in the stunning village of Lurgashall, overlooking the village green and cricket square. The restaurant has a picturesque setting and provides a great atmosphere, with more of a focus on dining rather than just a typical pub experience. The food is of good quality, offering standard gastro pub fare at reasonable prices considering the beautiful location. One challenge we encountered was finding a parking spot that was not in the line of fire of cricket players hitting sixes. The restaurant is dog-friendly and very welcoming, giving us no reason not to return. Overall, I am glad we discovered this lovely spot.
We had a fantastic anniversary celebration at this restaurant, which was recommended to us by a friend. The service was friendly, the drink selection was great, and the food was delicious! We particularly enjoyed the tasty celeriac amuse-bouche. The ambiance was cozy, especially with the fires burning on a windy night. We were touched to see the staff assisting an elderly couple to their table with such care and kindness. If you're looking for delicious, unpretentious food in a cozy country pub with amazing staff, this is the place for you. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful experience!
We hosted a fantastic party for 40 guests in the Ark room, which was beautifully decorated to be even more welcoming than usual. The canapes and bowl food were delicious, and the staff were friendly and professional while serving the amazing food and wines to all of our guests. The planning process with Tray was incredibly easy, and she and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our party was a huge success. The pub is lovely, the service was excellent and friendly, but there were zero vegan options. I had to create my own meal by customising a starter salad by removing the cheese, and adding a side of chips. I had asked for them to be brought on a plate together to make up my meal, but in the end I was given a tiny salad and chips in a bowl. Really disappointing. I eat out a lot in the UK and abroad and it’s almost unheard of now to find such an antiquated menu with nothing for vegans. Such a shame.
