North Shore Yacht Club Nsyc

If the Aloha spirit were an Illinoisan, this would be its place of origin. The yacht club folks are some of the most engaging, water loving, lake living, sail boat steering, paddle board paddling, people I’ve ever met in Illinois. They even have a contingent of members who race and practice in real Hawaiian outrigger canoes. Amazing people amazing place! Easy 5 stars for Highland Park for having such an amazing connection with Lake Michigan through the North Shore Yacht Club. Way to go HP!

Great facility for the boaters and windsurfers in the area. The parking area is plentiful and it seems well maintained. I've been able to get some pretty nice photos of the lake on days when the waves are rough, or when most folks dont want to be near the lake. I have not been around the facility when the season is at peak, I'm assuming it can get pretty busy down there.

This is a hidden gem. Salt of the earth people and completely volunteer run. We work hard to be active in our community to teach sailing to youth and adults at reasonable prices. We welcome new members.

Brilliant sunrise views over the lake. I've been there twice over a period of 2 years, both during the fall. Colours are brilliant Should be great for moon rise as well Réservez une table maintenant

Dock adjacent to the ramp is a bit out of sorts. And one of the barriers by the bardge side of the ramp is pushed inwards therefore reducing the width of the ramp.

Better than Waukegan's yacht club because the yacht dealers don't block the view of the lake. Still, Waukegan beach is the best. NO GLASS ON THE BEACH!!!

Love the NSYC. Everyone is super friendly and willing to help and welcome new members. Joined this year and loving our membership.

Park District should consider putting an ice rink on the lake… the boat launch is a joke. Réservez une table maintenant
