Northern Tea Merchants

A unique place, we popped in for a coffee and felt like we'd walked into a Victorian coffee merchants house. There are large wooden boxes distributed in a U shape allowing you to pick your blend of bean. Probably 30 different blends with a good description of each. You can literally pick who h o e you want to drink and the for d them and put them in a cafetiere for you. You can also buy any weight of coffee that the either give you as bean or grind to your requirements!! My pictures do t do it justice

Stopped here for a light lunch. The selection of teas and coffees are great, even though it does make it hard to choose. We opted for a sandwich a each. The sandwich itself was extremely tasty but the potatoes that came with it took it to another level once paired with the homemade coleslaw. The cakes to finish where all homemade by a local baker and where also exceptional. Top this off with very pleasant staff and it makes a most enjoyable eating experience. We will be back!

We had an afternoon tea which was wonderful. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also have a great variety of tea and coffee blends and nice gift ideas. Well done to all!

I wanted to come here many times and I finally had this pleasure last week. What can I say? Cosy atmosphere, delicious food (I had scrambled eggs with salmon and toasts), welcoming staff. I would definitely go back another time
