Absolutely my favorite bar /music place in Atlanta. With live music everyday of the week! Yep everyday! If you want a nice place to drink, listen to great music and play pool. Look no further... this place is a classic staple of Atlanta and the culture. Some nights there is a cover because the quality and establishment just remember you get what you pay for! An Atlanta original and iconic spot. You never know who you might run into at Northside Tavern. This bar is so cool and authentic that it gets rented out for film scenes often. Lets see, what do I HAVE to mention. The grafetti, Hank the bartender, the blues, the cold drinks, NO FOOD, the location.Swami gone bananas, Nate Nelson etc Smoking is allowed inside as it was grandfathered in. Just a bar, no food. When I asked my Mom where she wanted to parry and celebrate her 75th birthday party- Northside Tavern!

A great bar that appears to be just another dive bar in Atlanta until you step inside and learn the history. The soulful music that fills the building really brings the bar to life. The selection of beer and liqour is the usual spread for bars and priced just like the rest of Atlanta. The music is what makes the bar worth going to, make sure not to miss it.Kid-friendliness: Leave your kids at home.

Not a bad joint and I’m fearful for its continued existence with all of the development occurring around it. A refreshing dive bar with PBR tall boys among sanitized modernity. I’ve only been there once and while there was a mistake with my tab, it was taken care of swiftly and easily. Thanks!
