We enjoyed our last meal here so well we decided to try again. Although we have been coming here for years this restaurant is under new ownership! We arrived pm and were seated and then a second waitress came over shortly to help us....We were undecided on what to try but settled on wings which don't show on the menu. Our waitress Kayla was very helpful. She was surprised when an order for another table came out before ours and went to check right away. This wasn't too upsetting as wings do take a while to cook. I wrote a review then indicating I was very pleased. I'm back again for a...visit in Belleville and we again went for breakfast. I had the seniors mushroom and cheese omelet. It was good but the eggs were a bit dry. It's a two egg omelet instead of the regular four egg. Not sure if they do it on the griddle or in a frying pan, but the egg gets too thin before it is folded. Be better to do it in a small frying pan. Found it on TripAdvisor when searching breakfast restaurant. What a find! I had the seniors Benny. Another perfectly poached egg with excellent hollandaise sauce. What's with Belleville? Had lunch today at this restaurant, there were four of us. Fish Chips meal, the fish was badly overcooked. Souvlaki meal, there were little pieces of chicken, the salad was drowned in dressing, the rice pilaf was cold and the vegetables consisted of...at least one whole green pepper chopped into little pieces. Liver onions meal, seriously overcooked liver like shoe leather, some sort of almost raw carrots that seemed to contain vinegar and spices and were inedible. Visited twice after new owners took over. Dinners were table. Since reading some good reviews, we decided to try it again. Never again! The so-called mash potatoes were utterly disgusting. Even the server admitted they looked awful. She kept blaming the cook. She needed to...take responsibility for serving them. They appeared to be dried out heated up potatoes from previous day(s). How could she bring these out to the table? See picture! My husband’s wrap was lacking filling. Not up to standard of other restaurants.
Every city has a greasy spoon that makes their name on a cheap breakfast and the. Fills their menu with a crazy amount of lunch and dinner items that are all just ok. That’s the Northway. Not bad, not great, but pretty good. We got...there early afternoon for lunch, Our server was friendly and attentive, though the food service was very slow (and they weren’t busy). No complaints on portion size, the meals or the coffee. I found it reasonably priced at for three people having lunch.
I will never return to this place again. The food my wife and I ordered is supposed to come with coleslaw but when we asked why we didn’t get it they said they weren’t making it right now. We were only told this when we...asked. We were still charged the same price for the meals. Also my wife asked for extra mayo for her clubhouse and got charged an extra Really?? This used to be our go to restaurant but i agree that the food has deteriorated to the point where we won't be back. First our order was misplaced then it arrived cold and had to be sent back. I had the chicken souvlaki in...a pita and there wasn't even a chicken finger amount of meat in it. Appreciate our waitress who was doing her best to make it right. Even went into the kitchen to get me some chicken. Sad to see an old favourite go.
February time for lunch and we are never let down here. Lots of food,reasonably priced, quick service. Meals are straight forward dinner style. Both had club house sandwiches. Lots of turkey, good fries. I'm thinking it may have changed hands recently but you cant...tell. You do need to remodel. Some new hard flooring and bathroom tune up is needed. Its clean just extremely worn out and dated. Good job to kitchen staff. See you again
