This bar has a great atmosphere, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the food. Each table has a sign indicating that orders need to be placed at the bar, which I did, but it took 40 minutes for our meals to arrive, and they were not worth the price. We ordered a pizza that tasted like it had a store-bought crust, and the meals that included fries were served in child-sized portions. Everything was presented in take-out containers, and there were no staff members around to apologize for the delay. It seems that a 40-minute wait doesn’t seem to bother them. Did you see the takeout boxes? That’s how our food was served. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect actual plates when you're paying for a meal, or to have a server instead of having to order at the bar. It would have been nice to have a bottle of ketchup rather than those tiny packets as well. Overall, the experience felt a bit lackluster and disappointing for a place that has the potential to be better. On a positive note, they do have great taste in music, and the food was decent.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was superb, and the laid-back ambiance made it even more enjoyable. The attentive service added to the overall wonderful experience. The outdoor seating area is lovely! We particularly enjoyed the burnt tips and the mac and cheese burger—both were exceptional! Everything was served hot and full of flavor. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area.
We decided to dine at this restaurant after hearing that Bruce Larson would be performing. However, we were disappointed to find no advertisements for the event. There was only one bartender working, resulting in a wait of at least 10 minutes in line. Northwoods, you have a wonderful venue—please take advantage of it by promoting your events and new beers more effectively. Food rating: 1/5.
The beer was flat, and the appetizers we ordered tasted like they had been reheated from the weekend, even though we visited on a Wednesday. We tried the pork belly, cheese curds, and smoky tots. The only redeeming aspect was the kids' meals, which included chicken strips and fries. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. Food rating: 1/5.
The food is expertly prepared and absolutely delicious; the tots, cheese curds, and fish fry were exceptional. There's a fantastic selection of house-made beers as well. The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff is very friendly. I plan to stop by every time I'm headed to Minnesota. Food: 5/5

This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit! The beer selection is impressive, and the food—particularly the brisket sandwich—was delicious. The bartender offered fantastic service and provided excellent recommendations. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.
