We decided to take our dog for a walk in the walled garden at Norton Priory, and decided to end our stroll with a cup of tea. That's when I spotted the incredible looking cake! It was obviously homemade and looked absolutely delicious. To my surprise, we were told that the cakes are made by individuals with physical disabilities, and that those with learning disabilities also assist in the process. What a fantastic idea, and the results were truly top-notch! And to top it off, the price was very reasonable - tea or coffee with a slice of cake cost less than what most coffee chains charge for just a drink alone. We will definitely be coming back regularly. Simply follow the signs to the walle...

We have visited Liverpool to see relatives on many occasions but had never been to Norton Priory before. .we were not disappointed. Decided to to have the daily special which turned out to be Scouse. Heard about it before but never had it. It was superb, just melted in the mouth. The friendly and polite staff made us feel very welcome. The place was spotless and we had a very enjoyable meal in wonderful surroundings. Also visited the micro brewer, the Ice cream parlour and the Museum and gardens. Had a truly memorable day. The whole place is a credit to the people who work there. Will certainly go again on our next trip up north.P.S. The Beer weren't bad either.

i visited here last yr and was pleasantly surprised ,it was a lovely afternoon out and really interesting i must bring my grandaughter here when next she comes home to runcorn as she has an archeology degree and would find this really interesting ,this is in my view a must for runcorn folk to visit and see a part of runcorns history, and an added bonus is a lovely little cafe to have a cuppa and bite to eat afterwards

We had a lovely picnic in the meadow and enjoy walking our dogs in the grounds. (Dogs not allowed in walled garden). Ruins are picturesque and there is lots of space and things to see for small people. We visit regularly and always enjoy somethng new bluebells in the orchard, knee high buttercups in the meadow, activities in the crypt. Visit it you won't be disappointed.

We are locals and frequently visit this restaurant. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the chicken and leek pie is exceptional. The homemade cakes are also delightful. The service is quick and the staff are very accommodating. It's a perfect spot to stop by after a leisurely walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit yesterday. The museum was very well laid out and informative. The view of the priory ruins was excellent and the walled gardens were beautiful. We had a light lunch in the café and couldn't find any faults with the whole place.
