Number 10 Coffee Shop

After a busy morning at honeysuckle farm we chose to venture into Hornsea for our lunch. We decided to visit No 10 coffee shop. When we arrived, myself, my husband and our two boys (aged 4, and 1) where shown to a table quickly. This would be the only time any speed was shown in our lunch. Our order was taken, 3 sandwiches and a child’s pasta. If I would have known our lunch would have taken 40 minutes to come I would have taken two hungry toddlers elsewhere. I am not sure what took 40 minutes; as we where served 3 plain sandwiches one with no side salad, one with a premade sandwich filler and the other with hardly any filling. The staff in this cafe are disgustingly rude whenever you go in here it feels as though you are being a pain by giving them business. They’ve got their approach all wrong. There’s no smile and happy welcome the owner looks at you with a face of distain because they have more food to prepare. The opening hours are totally unreliable and the service takes ages. I was sent away on this occasion after making a trip down because they had had an influx of orders and ‘weren’t taking anymore’. This was at 1pm and they closed at 2pm. It’s just not worth going. And the arrogance and attitude of the staff when they told me this was just inexcusable.

After having been to Cafe 10 in the past as a day time visitor and loving it every time, I finally got round to going on a Friday night, burger night with my family. There was 6 of us, we booked in advance, were accommodated no problem and were looked after from the second we walked in. Aside from feeling very covid safe, the staff were naturally lovely answering any question without being overbearing and our food cooked fresh to order was spot on in every way. Our table ranged from ages 12 to 51 and we all had empty plates. Relaxed atmosphere, background music, drinks choice...We will be back and would recommend to anyone.

Just visited for breakfast. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast with two hungry children! No apologies, my breakfast was good but my sons bacon sandwich was very poor. Wife and daughter enjoyed there’s but wasn’t worth the wait. There was plenty of staff but they seem to focus more on walk in trade than people sat down. It was busy but only with people who had already eaten. We like to support our local businesses but I’m afraid we won’t be back here. Réservez une table maintenant

Lots of choices for breakfast and lots of local produce, which is exactly what you want! I had the Eggs Royale with local smoked salmon and it really lived up to my expectations. Also it was extremely clean. Got a little busy (and I didn't feel as COVID-safe as I'd like to be for a little bit) but still great and worth going back to. Even if only for the yummy smoothies!

Ordered the all day breakfast and despite it being very busy, I didn’t have to wait very long at all. Quality of food and portion size both excellent. Friendly welcoming staff who all clearly wanted to help make my visit enjoyable. Will definitely return another day and try something else off of the comprehensive menu. Very highly recommended.

Went in for a coffee and some breakfast, I wouldn’t submit to there medical protocol, I thought I was at a cafe not a doctor’s surgery , incredibly rude chef/owner, refused me service and shouted me out the door, shocking way to treat a customer, gladly took my business elsewhere where I had no issues whatsoever and saved a bit of money too

We were staying in the area and were recommended the cafe for coffee. Decided to have breakfast. We both had the crushed potato with spinach,bacon and a poached egg on the top, also came with two slices of toast each.Excellent. Very fresh and hot. The service and the COVID procedures were well done . We shall return. Réservez une table maintenant

Took out order which was 30 mins waiting. Jacket potato was on the small side, coleslaw and the tuna had too much Mayo in it, far too creamy. You had to hunt for the dry chicken in the Caesar salad . Not enough small tables, layout needs a think

Really good food, in a great, friendly environment! We had a simple lunch of sandwiches, and an excellent pasta dish with chilli con carne. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't better it!
