Came in, guy behind the bar was great. I didn't know what I fancied, yet staff member talked me through his recommendations. Second round I asked for a duplicate larger. Different staff member didn't know what larger were on . Then at payment did not acknowledge payment had gone through. So when I continued to stand and wait , he then went to try and serve me again . Customers need to know payment has gone through, rather than have back turned on them
I have to mark this once great pub low for the simple fact that they no longer accept cash which is truly ridiculous. two stars for the White Boar Bitter. Luckily, Darlo has lots of great alternative near by venues that will accept The Kings Pound from many many people who will never accept digital tyranny and discrimination.
I often visit this restaurant and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is friendly and well-informed, the beer is always perfectly stored, and the customers are enjoyable to be around. Don't believe those who say it's only for upscale individuals; it's a pub for those who appreciate good beer and good company!
My favourite ale house in the whole land! i always make a special trip to 22 when I'm in Darlington. The ale is exceptionally well curated and served. Réservez une table maintenant
Lovely gem of a place! Endless selection of drinks and had a lovely side of chunky chips...went down a treat. Highly recommend.
