We had a fantastic dinner at the bar! A friend and I stopped by to watch a hockey game and intended just to grab a drink. However, when we caught a whiff of a customer's rack of lamb dinner, we couldn't resist checking out the menu. We promptly ordered the same dish for ourselves. The portion was ample enough to share, with each of us receiving four tender lamb chops, complemented by sides of fresh string beans wrapped in bacon and creamy mashed potatoes. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the spicy mustard sauce gave it a delightful kick. The friendly staff provided excellent service throughout the evening. Two thumbs up!

I have to admit, I was skeptical about Staten Island offering much beyond its renowned Italian cuisine. Italian food seems to be its specialty, and while I've enjoyed some decent Spanish tapas on the island, I never expected to find a German beer hall. However, during this visit, two of my companions were avid sausage enthusiasts, so I opted for Nurnberger Bierhaus as our dinner spot on our first night in the area. Although Killmeyer's is the more well-known and highly rated German restaurant on Staten Island, Nurnberger was conveniently located on our way to the St. George Theater, so we decided to give it a try.

What a great little spot. I avoided it for years assuming it couldn't be good. I was completely surprised to find great service, wonderful menu choices, great preparation, good beer and convenient hours open for service. The restaurant was great, the beer hall and beer garden make it all even better.

The German food here is excellent! I’ve sampled quite a few dishes, despite not being very familiar with German cuisine, and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. Their traditional schnitzel is delicious, but I also suggest exploring some of their other offerings—everything I’ve tried has been fantastic! Réservez une table maintenant

I had a great time here with friends! The pub had a cozy, tavern-like atmosphere. Since it’s the holiday season, there were some Christmas lights that added to the festive vibe. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

We lost a friend today when the beer hall announced that it was closing its doors. Friendships blossomed there. Love was found. Music was uncovered, and above all, the spirit of Robert Kelly was born...

I visited for some drinks and snacks before heading to the nearby NYC Winter Lantern Festival. The exterior of the place and the surrounding area aren't particularly appealing. However, if we...
