I went to Nussbuel after a long walk around the mountains. It was lovely and warm and the staff were very friendly. I spoke English so everyone did their best to speak it to me, and a member of staff spoke fluently so she talked to me most. It is set between to forest areas, with a view over the valley and towards the mountains. There is a deck area for use in good weather. The inside has quite traditional wood Swiss decor, with a very low ceiling. The menu is quite traditional Swiss, I had a Bouillon Soup and then Kalbswurst with Rosti potato, then Gugelhupf! And a hot chocolate. It was raining when I arrived so they gave me an umbrella for the walk home, which they would pick up later. It is apparently always open according to the staff. A really nice place to go for lunch on a walking day.
