The variety of vegetables and sauces offers plenty of customization options, which is excellent for someone like me who has several dietary restrictions. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the portions are HUGE! Being on the smaller side, I was able to have the platter for two meals at a very reasonable price. Yesterday I was looking for a halal restaurant in Minneapolis and finally found New York Gyro. I ordered chicken rice for 5 people but couldn't figure out how to get them together. Then one of the servers Jay came forward and gave me advice on how best to put it together. As per his word he gave me rice in a big container and chicken, salad all separately. I am very impressed with his service. All the staffs there was good but especially Jay he deserves 5 star for his service. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. It was mid at best very courteous and nice individuals but my pita bread was hard i came in at night and he had a pita already ready which was hard and dry also I didn't like they didn't cook there meat on the flat top to render out some of the juice they just took it out of the warming container and threw it on the pita. I did like that that you can add your toppings they must don't know i m a a big on reviewing food on google but the place is okay
The Gyro sandwich was the most vile and disgusting thing I have eaten. The meat was ground up, not sliced. They added the tomatoes and lettuce in the sandwich so it was just mush, the pita wasnt grilled so that attributed to the mush factor. Never again. Just awful. Took two bites and threw it out. I was craving a gyro so lesson learned. Oh the pickles are sweet pickles. Cherry on the top of my money down the toilet.

This is my favorite restaurant—truly the best food I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered the chicken and rice with a selection of vegetables, and it was nothing short of incredible. I've never taken the time to write a review for any restaurant before, but after experiencing this, I felt compelled to share how fantastic it is. A special shout-out to the team on Lake Street in Minneapolis—you all are amazing!
I went to have lunch at this restaurant with my buddy. Their service and food are amazing. We tasted chicken rice and Gyro and trust me that was so good. I am fascinated by the behave of one of their male staff wearing glasses, he always comes and talks with smile ask everyone what they like. Such a caring person to the customers as usual smart. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. ?
Had Iftari with family today. The food was delicioUS. Loved the Kheer with Tea. Good old memories of back home watan e azeez Pakistan. Gyro was decent. It was hard to judge since it took the Uber eats dinner 50 minutes to get it to us from the restaurant. The reason for the 3 stars is because the salad with meat doesn’t actually come with any greens which is misleading (its just chicken with the toppings you select).

Ordered a chicken gyro and was given curry chicken meat. It was the most disgusting thing ever. The cucumber sauce is mayo and horseradish and not tatziki. Worst food I've ever eaten. If I wanted a curry pita, I would have ordered that. Yuck ?
