This Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Caleta de Fuste became a favourite of ours about a dozen years ago. Pandemic aside, we have visited Fuerteventura at least once a year ever since, visiting O Fado 2 or 3 times each visit. We remain hugely impressed by how Helena and Americo mix quality food with superb service. Whilst the speciality is codfish, if you prefer steak, pasta or a vegetarian option, you will not be disappointed. Overall, a visit to O Fado is a wonderful experience and we'd like to thank Helena, in particular, for making us so welcome over the years. Best wishes for continued success
We were told to go to another steakhouse which was full so we stumbled across this Portuguese gem O’Fado. What a brilliant meal we had! My partner’s steak with mushroom sauce was excellent and my kebabs had an amazing char grill taste. We wished we had fresh vegetables and new potatoes instead of the traditional salad and chips. The complimentary desert and Baileys liqueur was so wonderful. Thank you to the handsome couple that served us with grace and panache. GO to this place!
Viví en Portugal 4 años, soy de comer bien y abundante. Debo decir que en esos 4 años no recuerdo haber comido tan buen bacalao con en el O Fado en Fuerteventura. El restaurantes es luminoso, decorado de manera sencilla pero agradable, La atención del equipo es fantástica y los platos de bacalao están cocinados con mimo, y con un sabor sencillamente inigualables, Febe ser el toque Madeirense. Volveré siempre que esté en Fuerteventura y no sea miércoles, pues cierra.
Cenamos aquí anoche y la comida era excelente tanto en calidad como en cantidad. Nuestra camarera era muy amable y acogedor e hizo un gran trabajo, ya que era la única camarera. Sí, esperamos un rato entre cursos, pero la espera valió la pena. Y si queríamos una comida de 3 platos todo servido en 20 minutos, nos habríamos ido a regañadientes a uno de los restaurantes ingleses cercanos. Muy recomendable a otros

Quality seafood. We had cod madiera, it comes on a slate. Fish potato's and sauce like a gratin. Friendly service. (Large in age) child had kebab with chips as he can be fussy but he was so happy with it. Could not fault the place. Don't expect an eat and run place. This is a place where u can spend as long as u want. If u need anything, just ask. Going back again. Deffo
Lovely food at a resonable price we were well looked after even though the staff were very busy. Between 4 of us, over 2 nights we had a good sample of the menu and all enjoyed every bite. The place has a lovely atmosphere and is a good place to watch the world go by at any time of day.
Como siempre mi lugar favorito para comer bacalao estilo portugués con muchos platos. Lugar con un trato muy bueno, siempre que puedo voy a cenar al O,fado, si no conocéis este restaurante y os gusta el bacalao estoy seguro que vais a salir muy a gusto.
I had superb, perfectly-cooked cod in sauce here on 2 successive nights, with my friends enjoying perfect beef steaks and leg of lamb, with delish Portuguese custard tarts to finish with. Friendly service, great value for money.

Buena comida. Comimos chorizo bombero para empezar y gambas al ajo. Para el plato principal cada uno tenía un plato de bacalao diferente cada uno con su propia salsa única. Comida increíble. Gran y amable servicio. Volveremos.
Enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. There was a nice ambience, friendly staff and excellent food. We enjoyed two of the cod dishes both equally delicious. We will definitely return this holiday.
