This restaurant in the the quiet outskirts of Ribadeo may look unimpressive, but the food is top quality and their regional dishes are cooked to perfection. We had a thick Galician soup (white beans, veal, potatoes and cabbage) and a fish seafood soup as starters; fresh coastal hake and Galician-style octopus as main dishes. The portions were so generous that we could not try the desserts. We accompanied dinner with Galician wines: a glass of white albariño and another of red mencía . We paid about 40 €.
Every time we are in Ribadeo, this restaurant is a must. We first came here in 2000 and then in 2003. So after 15 years we returned in 2018. To our surprise, the original owners had retired so it was under new administration. We took the risk and it was well worth it. Service was excellent as always and food was delicious. Very good presentation and taste. Congratulations to the new owners for maintaining the same high quality. We look forward to return. Buen provecho!
We were looking for a place to have lunch and local people recommended O Lar de Manolo. This restaurant is, definitely, a great place to eat. We ordered sea food and cachopo (meat local food) and all of us enjoyed the food. There is also some space for the stroller and staff was very kind with the kids.
