O Marseillais - Réserver une table

If you're after a pizza and friendly service, then O Marseillais should definitely be on your list. The both times we visited, seating was in what was optimistically described as the 'terrace' and to get to this you have to go around the corner to the back of the property. The terrace is really a space at the back with some tables and chairs. It looks a bit functional but it's fine. The pizzas on offer include both 'pizza blanc' (no tomato base) and more conventional ones. Some of the former are quite imaginative: the 'lavende' included goats cheese, lavender and honey. It's also possible to have half a pizza together with a salad, which is ideal for lunch. On Friday evenings, there's live music as well. Hearing Kate Bush's 'Running up the hill' sung by a rather good singer to the accompaniment of a rather bad piano player was quite an experience.

O Marseillais was one of the best restaurants we visited on holiday this year, the food was delicious and accommodated all family tastes and didn't break the budget! The 'Terrace' was just terrific as it was full of locals dining out and tucked away at the back of the restaurant. To add to our experience on both occasions the family were so friendly and made a real effort to make us feel welcome, taking the time to ask us where we from and generally being interested in making conversation which made our evening so enjoyable. Don't visit Mazamet without taking at least one evening to go to O Marseillais and when you visit ask them about their giant cat :-) !! A great evening, excellent food and a warm and friendly welcome awaits you. Thanks for a couple of memorable evenings to all in O Marseillais!!

I stayed at the Villa de Mazamet earlier this month and the owners recommended Marseillais as a place to eat.The venue is delightful and the food, especially the pizza delicious. What really made the experience great for me however was the delightful service and company of the owner, Olga and her mother Dolores. It was a pleasure to meet them and they always made me feel welcome, which was a relief as I was a solo diner and a bit nervous.So merci Olga et Dolores a bientot Julie

Don't be put off if this little pizzeria seems deserted, you'll find plenty of locals eating outside if the weather is fine - the terrace is accessed from a side road. The pizzas were large and delicious, the house wine good and the price reasonable. Closed Mondays.

We have now been two Saturday's running.The steaks are great,the wife tells me the pizza is excellent as well.Thanks Olga and family.
