We used to come here quite often for breakfast pre Covid and decided to come again as it had always been nice. We’d booked a table beforehand but it took a while for anyone to notice us to show us to our table even though there was only one person being served at the till and we’d clearly been seen by other staff. Anyway while seated it took a while for anyone to take our drinks order, surprised they didn’t take this when we sat down. On first glance at the menu was how expensive it was now, £4.25 for a large cappuccino I think is madness you wouldn’t even pay that for a Starbucks and it was nearly £3 for a single espresso. I wouldn’t have minded so much if the coffee was really good, in fac...

I hate to be so negative, but this restaurant simply cannot provide even the basic level of service. Despite having enough staff and only a few customers, the experience was disappointing. The coffee from the cafetière was the worst I have ever tasted, resembling weak instant coffee. I ordered a full breakfast for £11.95, but the waitress accidentally entered a sandwich order on the tablet. After waiting for a while, we were told there would be a 15-minute delay to correct the order. My husband's breakfast roll was stale, and he described it as one of the worst breakfasts he had ever eaten. The service was slow and the food quality was poor. It seems like this establishment needs to start ov...

Went hear a couple of years ago and loved it. However, now seem to be coping badly with current circumstances. Seating is in a partly open-seded barn with a rough concrete floor. The addition of a few strings of lights and a couple of pot plants cheers it up slightly but there is no real atmosphere. Waited several minutes to be shown to a table. Long wait for orders. Even longer wait for bottled rinks. Longer wait still for food. Food adequate but poor value. Will not be returning. Oh, and I forgot the access road which is very badly potholed. Don't expect super-smooth ytarmac but a few shovelfuls of gravel would help enormously.

I have always enjoyed dining at this restaurant and I still do. I find some of the reviews to be overly harsh and unfair. I have anxiety and sometimes stutter, but the owner and staff have always been kind and patient with me, both before the pandemic and now. During the lockdown, the farm shop had a great variety of fresh meat, vegetables, bread, and more available for order and pickup. Since reopening, the food has continued to be delicious. This restaurant will always be my go-to place to relax, read my kindle, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Réservez une table maintenant

Took 30 mins to take our simple order. 2 x 'chicken and three cheese pies '. Food finally arrived 1hour 15 mins after we arrived. BUT only one chicken and three cheese pie and they hadn 't got another one. They offered quiche instead but we 'd have to wait again for it to be warmed. We were so hungry by then we accepted cold quiche but it was not suitable as a cold offering. The managers attitude was 'mistakes happen '. Not very apologetic. Shame because we 've been several times previously and had good food. Wont be going again.

The setting, particularly outside is lovely. However the service was non existent. I repeatedly had to go inside to find a waitress to be told its table service, then waited another 10mins for someone to appear. Desserts were brought out but main course plates weren't cleared. We ordered a sandwich but when it came were told they were running short on filling so they've knocked £1 off. If we'd known we would have just ordered something else. The pasty was stale. The quiche was nice. Overall I wouldn't return which is a shame.

We stopped here for late breakfast/early lunch, the shop looks lovely although we didn’t have time to have a look round and due to COVID regs we didnt want to be up and down from our table during our meal . Food is very good, only niggle was the lack of options on eggs. One of our party asked for poached eggs and this felt like a massive issue, in the end we had to compromise and agree to scrambled eggs. If it had not been for this it would have been 5 STARS!

We had a great breakfast at this restaurant. The three of us ordered different dishes and all enjoyed our meals. The restaurant has friendly dogs and clean restrooms. Be sure to place your order at least 30 minutes in advance for prompt service. Overall, a wonderful experience. Réservez une table maintenant

Breakfast choice is limited and expensive for size of portion compared to other farm cafes we have visited. Charging a £1 for non dairy milk is not on. The food was nice but service was slow. I would say great for a coffee and cake but will not eat hear again as over priced.
