Came in after a friend recommended this place to me. Cute older building has a cool rustic historic feel. I don't know much about the building but I'm sure someone here knows a bit about it. I chose to eat in the bar since it was just me. I prefer sitting in the bar to eat...much more casual. I was seated right away by the very friendly bartender. As she gave me the menu she automatically took my drink order to save time. So many great selections on the menu but I was I was in the mood for a nice healthy salad. We dine out frequently, primarily in Napa Valley, Healdsburg, and the East Bay. We were pleasantly surprised to discover such an exceptional restaurant in Woodbridge during our recent lunch visit. The menu offered a great selection, and the food was truly fantastic. We enjoyed a wild boar pasta that rivaled anything we've had in Italy, along with an excellent salad featuring roasted squash. Both dishes were impeccably prepared and thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere and service were also delightful. I was very disappointed with my experience. Don't rely on the menu displayed on the website; the dinner menu we were given felt more like what you'd find at a corporate diner. The calamari tasted like it came straight from a Van de Camp's frozen box—no flavor and rubbery. The steaks were decent, but the sides seemed like an afterthought. The greens were gritty, and the squash still had tough ends. My previous visits were excellent, but this time it's clear the quality has declined with each return. Overall, this last meal was not worth the $200 we spent.
Food is ****. Desserts are great. Could obviously tell that the head chef has control over everything there and even ruined a beautiful cheesecake that was obviously made by someone else. I scraped off the green plums and Balsamic vinegar to enjoy the actual cheesecake. Won't be coming back for food but will be back for Desserts and drinks again perhaps after enjoying a steak cooked right with real potatoes next door at Woodbridge Crossings since their Desserts aren't very good but their food is excellent. We visited this restaurant on Sunday, October 23rd, and had the chance to conduct a ghost investigation afterward. Before that, we enjoyed dinner, and I must say, the food was outstanding! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. Once the restaurant closed, we were granted full access for our investigation, and I can confirm that this place is very active with friendly spirits. The prices are quite high for the quality provided. I ordered the lamb chops, which were only mildly seasoned and came with a very small portion of mint sauce. The chops were small and mostly fatty, and the entire plate was drenched in oil. The vegetables were okay, but once again, they were overly oily. At $42.00, they didn't even include a soup or salad with the meal, which feels outrageous. If you want quality food, I recommend Papapavlos in Lodi or Stockton instead.
I had a wonderful lunch here last weekend! The food was delicious, the wine selection was impressive, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, which adds to the experience. The prices are very reasonable, making it definitely worth a visit!
