A good and solid gourmet restaurant in the 1-star area with potential. Good product quality and professional preparation characterize this family business, which is associated with a truly attractive price performance by Michelin. The kitchen follows the classic French skin cuisine and offers regional, Swabian dishes. From 3 to 7 courses, the well-structured map offers seasonal dishes, mostly from local producers. The selection of wines is clear, the focus is on wine growers and wines from the DACH area of the lower and middle price categories. The guest room itself has a little time, some interior has the best time behind it and does not necessarily correspond to today's furniture style. Even if the restaurant is housed in the family-run Hotel Hirsch, I personally do not feel as an ideal equipment accessory for a star-facing restaurant, which is of course a matter of taste. The service is sincerely friendly and competent, the announcements of each course are almost too short and short, but sufficient. For me, the Oettingers Restaurant ranks in the upper middle of the Star-Restaurants in Stuttgart and has the potential to develop even more individuality, both in the dishes and in the presentation, to stand out from the steadily increasing density of gourmet restaurants.
Before we had ordered the ducks and the small Kennerbox by e-mail. The boxes were also uncomplicated. On site I was able to pay at the Hotel Hirsch and pick up the boxes in the Schnitzbiegel next door. Nice as the friendly team thought and made it possible to pick up under these circumstances. At home we were thrilled with the love with which everything was packed and how thoughtful. In addition to a detailed guide, there are also videos in which everything is presented again. You need a lot of pans and pots on two boxes, but at each of the steps we were happy to get the result! The video helped to recognize all ingredients, and we were not quite sure about two things. But it will be good, we thought: price and performance were definitely here! Overall, the shares were large enough. We're all more than fed and tomorrow is something from the duck. It was really something special! All courses and dishes were wonderfully matched and were very easy to heat ready to prepare. Thanks to Oettingers Restaurant for a stress-free and delicious Christmas! If there are boxes again, we will definitely be there!
We wanted something special for our 20th anniversary, we got something special. The greeting was very nice and friendly. And so it continued. Our menu selection, as I find, is consistent from beginning to end. Absolutely recommended. And I'm convinced we'll be repeaters. Thank you for a few nice hours. The culinary trip will be remembered for a long time.
