We were looking for a place to eat before we went to Untermyer Gardens Conservancy. This place stood out and we were not disappointed. I had the jerk chicken and Mac and cheese. It was perfect. My wife had the fish and chips and their homemade tarter sauce. She loved it! The chef came out and gave some just out of the oven cornbread. So good. Another standout was the service. Our waitress, Kelina, was friendly and attentive, but not overly attentive--which is a good thing. Place was clean and lovely decor.If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely go back A P.S. So let me tell you, we rolled the dice as we always do when coming to NY as we live in Maryland. First time staying in Dobbs Ferry and I asked Yelp for a recommendation for dinner and here we were at Off The Hook in Yonkers. We walked in a little early with no one in there. The hostess/waitress walked out and here comes the warmth!!! Khalina (forgive me if this isn 't the correct spelling) was the absolute sweetest. Then came the food!!!! Lawddddd that snapper snapped. The fish was fishin and hitting. We were the only two in the restaurant BUT I 'm still licking my fingers!!! The food is DELISH!! Go and see then.
We had an amazing experience at Off the Hook Yonkers! We celebrated my mother's birthday with a group of over 20, including all the kids from our family. The service was excellent; the staff were very accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and the soul food and seafood were well-seasoned. We also enjoyed a selection of specialty cocktails from the bar. Our compliments to the chef and the entire team! We look forward to visiting again soon.
Everything was fantastic! The only downside was that the catfish served was in strips rather than whole filets, and the fried chicken was slightly overcooked and could benefit from a bit more seasoning (the seasoning in the photo is what I added). However, the sides were delicious—I absolutely loved the catfish batter. I just wish the portions were larger. Otherwise, it was all so yummy!

We did carry out. Everything was soooooo good! We had fried whiting, fried shrimp, hushpuppies, greens, and sweet potato fries. The portions are nice! Even though we didn't eat there, I know they take care of people. Andre handled our order and was so warm. We almost wanted to go back afterward and try more! We will definitely be coming back and telling everybody to visit.
This was great! I just wish I had more chicken, lol. Overall, the yams were delicious without being too sweet, and the mac and cheese was perfectly cheesy.

Food was good. Signature Fresh Squeezed Limeade was really fresh. Received hush puppies instead of cornbread, and they were good.

Delicious! The greens mac and cheese also the candied yams. Just like my mom's from the south.
The meal was decent, but the fish could have used a bit more seasoning to enhance its flavor.
