My wife and decided to try out this little new Japanese restaurant in our local area I'm glad we did! From the outset the service was excellent and our waitress was very accommodating. Its a quaint little place don't expect too much in the way of decore but for what it is its great. We ordered the spicy enamames for entree, sushimi and Chicken Katsu for mains. The enames (spicy soy beans) were yummy and so moorish! The tuna was nice although I have had better grade tuna and the Katsu was seriously delicious accompanied with a lovely subtle curry sauce.. We tried Ogawa as something different from our normal local Japanese restaurant and we are very pleasantly surprised. We loved our visit. Ogawa combines a relaxed atmosphere with contemporary music with fantastic Japanese. We had the Karage (fried chicken) which was much more delicate than the norm and was accompanied by some mixed pickles. Thoroughly enjoyable anf a good size to share for entree.We then had a special bento box and an unagi don, which were large and really well done. The bento is sufficient for a hungry dinner diner, but the sashimi was so nice I wished I had ordered it separately. The unagi was quite large and well balanced. As a Japanese person, I've been always frustrated with the pseudo-Japanese food here, but finally feel satisfied! I highly recommend their sushi and sashimi. If you are trying for the first time and just want to get the idea on what their foods are like, try Chirashi-sushi. It's a rise bowl (Don) topped with sashimi and only $10-11. You can know how fresh their sashimi is.
I suspect this tiny place will become so popular over summer you will have to book 2 weeks in advance. At the moment you can walk in, but the food is so outrageously good it will not remain as a hidden gem for much longer. Young talented chef/owner and a new team who are still sorting things out like timing and service, but no complaints. Even the simplest things like the fresh salad and dressing are right up there in the realm of the 2-hatted elite. Corkage on byo wine is a bit rude, so make sure you drink beer or sake with your meal.

Amazing food! Tastes like true Japanese food! Very fresh & moresome. Waiters are nice & friendly. Many dishes to choose from. Food comes out quite quick. Reasonable prices. Will definitely go back there & have recommended the restaurant to family and friends.
Looking for a place open for lunch late on a Sunday, came across here - absolutely fantastic. Reasonably priced and suoer delicious, friendly service, definitely going to come back!
Fantastic casual Japanese. There is also a secret (non-English) menu you can order from according to the people sitting next to us!!! Will be back when next in Berra.

The food is fantastic and well priced! I come here very often and the food has never failed me! Their snapper carpaccio is awesome!
Really enjoyed the food. And prices were pretty good too. All in all a wonderful little place hidden away in Gungahlin.
