Location: 10 min away from the trainstation to the southeast at a small place but far enough away from the main street so no noise.Food: Traditional western german fare, Schnitzel , Wurst, Flöhns, so do not expect something fancy but qood quality of such items. Reasonably fast and large enough portions. Yum Food.Staff: Efficient and friendly. If you do not want more beer, just put your Bierfilz on the glass.Ambience: Nice outside seating the inside is on the dark and rustic side.
This place is an old brewery and restaurant. The athmosphere is very authentic and warm. They produce their own tasty "alt beer" The local food they serve is great. Waiters are very friendly . They count the number of beers that you drink by drawing lines by a pencil to a cup base on your table :) Location is in the hearth of the Alstad - Oldtown. Prices are quite affordable.We definitely like this place to enjoy a dinner with group of friends .
The 2 waitress welcomed me "Ha english", and gave me the English menu. Asking first what do you drink Alt or Blond, I took the Alt, it comes in 200cc glasses very good German authentic beer. The dishes are diverse i started with a Gulaschsuppe that comes inside a brown bread, very good and hot. I continued with the Wiener Schnitzel that was a bit salty so be careful. I would come again.
Recently dined here with my wife and found the menu a little restrictive but this is Germany after all and they do love their meat. Speaking for myself, I found plenty of choice and I was well satisfied with what I did choose. My wife chose a salad because the meat portions were huge but she enjoyed it nevertheless. The food was delicious - very simple and probably not the healthiest one though - and the portion sizes were great. Service was friendly and fast. But it was very noisy inside although there were not too many customers in addition to our group - I guess it is because of the acoustics. Not very expensive either and good location.
I normally don't like the German food and I'm quite desperate when I have to spend a week there for the expo. Luckily we found this great place, with delicious food and fantastic beer. We went there 4 nights and always with a great pleasure. I recommend the steak with mustard cream... really amazing
Beautiful place on the street. We decided to come here on the fly and we left happier and more satisfied with our decision. Extremely friendly staff, great variety in menu, excellent quantity, perfect place to have a beer! Such a beautiful environment, with a noble ambience. Total value:
Ignore the unfriendly staff. This is a must. Explore the building. Stand outside under the heaters and people watch. Good snacks. In my opinion, the beer is spectacular. Réservez une table maintenant
