COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED! this food was totally a disappointment. The food lacked all the flavor. I got taco Enchilada, bad taste, horrible rice, and pour quality meat and cheese. My sister had chicken fajitas, poor quality chicken, soggy, tastless,tortilla soup horrible. All dishes are over priced, no service, people are rude. Most basic food (Chips) were bad, seemsrecycled. the meat had absolutely no seasoning. The food was horrible I will never go back ! don?t waste your time and money onthis. Bad representation of what Authentic Mexican food is. And the service was also terrible, the waitresses showed nofriendliness, they look disappointed to be there as well. I feel bad giving this place a low rating, but the extra star is for the cool location, nice ambiance, and good service. I appreciate that they offer a dedicated vegan menu, but the food was really underwhelming—almost like it wasn’t seasoned or salted at all. I ordered the mushroom enchiladas, which were way overpriced for what they were: just mushrooms in corn tortillas with a bland red sauce. Also, why aren’t the chips vegan? That doesn’t make any sense. Better luck next time.
This is one of our favorite Mexican food spots. The food of course is delicious and fresh. The chips, salsa, beans and rice are primo. Our criteria is if a restaurant can nail those, then everything else seems to fall in line. ???? It's nice to walk nearthe beach afterwards.
Olamendi's Mexican has a strong following in southern Orange County and gained fame because President Nixon was a fan. I visited twice before going vegan and found the food just average. Now that I follow a vegan diet, I don’t even consider this place for Mexican meals.

The service at Olamendi's Mexican was friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the menu was definitely the Margaritas, especially the blended Mango with Tajin and Pomegranate. It's worth mentioning that the Pomegranate and Hibiscus Margaritas are served unblended.
The service at Olamendi's Mexican was outstanding. The staff were warm, accommodating, and efficient. They even handled a situation with another customer courteously when they had to inform them that service was not possible.
I used to love dining at Olamendi's Mexican. Before COVID impacted operations, the service was excellent. The tequila they offer is superb. My friends and I have visited this restaurant several times to enjoy their menu.
Great Mexican food, patio across PCH from the beach and ocean. Doesn't get better than this. I highly recommend the Tortilla Soup with chicken and the traditional chicken mole. Oh, and the jumbo margaritas! Yum!

I've been enjoying Olamendi's at various locations in Orange County for 30 years. This location in Capo Beach is dear to me. The food, drinks and service are always top notch.
