this place is pretty cool. when entering this local one immediately knows that you have entered a classic. herren in white gloves lead them to their table and make sure they are served well during eating. there is a zigbar in the upper floor and every corner, every angle and every table in the room has history. the menu is not particularly adventurous and could almost be regarded as a fascinating vignette about the taste of a wealthy, conservative German diners of the old time. each article is prepared with the best ingredients and more obvious carefree. I had a rich breakfast and had no hunger, although I was just the tower of the st. Michaelis Church had climbed. I saw the restaurant when I went out and found that they won a gold medal for labskaus! I thought I had to try it! So I ordered an appetizer of labskaus and crowned it with a hering! I'm glad I did that. the labskaus was delicious, personal friendly and helpful, ambiente super!
the service was very nice and very friendly. the place is also very interesting with wood and a maritime scheme everywhere. However, if they are vegetarian, the possibilities are limited. eating was plentiful, actually too much. but they will give you dog bags. they decide themselves, I myself would not go again. . . . but perhaps worth a visit if they love labskaus.

we had the privilege of eating in the old commercial room too evening. this restaurant has existed for over 40 years. many famous guests have eaten in this restaurant. we had a very authentic German food. we have a table reserved over open table and have traveled across hamburg for a promising evening. when we arrived, they refused the knowledge despite proof of the reservation. they were very rejecting and showed no interest in meeting us. very bad attitude
