We were close by for a swim meet and turns out there were like 6 heats of the mile, which runs about 20 minutes a heat so we had some time to grab a bite. I ordered a carry out a few days ago and the food was horrible. First off, when my boyfriend got home they didn't put my fried ice cream or sour cream in the bag (I get it, we're human and we make mistakes, but it has happened every single time I've ordered carry out from that restaurant). He had to drive 8 miles to pick ip what they forgot to put in bag. The fried ice cream is nothing like it use to be in previous years. It used to be coated in cornflakes; served with fried tortillas. My friend and I stopped by for lunch and discovered some reasonably priced meal options. The restaurant is taking precautions by enforcing social distancing, requiring masks, and limiting seating. We both opted for the lunch combo, which included a taco, burrito, and rice for under $6. The taco had a wonderfully crispy shell that I loved, and the shredded beef in the burrito was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the rice. I ordered a steak burrito, and it was just average. The portion of meat was generous and reminiscent of ropa vieja, which was fine, but there wasn't much else in the burrito besides cheese. There was a lot of cheese, but the overall flavor felt somewhat bland. I wasn't really a fan of the rice either, so I added some salsa to give it a kick. The beans were okay, nothing memorable. Overall, the portion was sizable, but I think I’ll opt for something different next time. A few months ago, we tried this place, and everyone loved the flautas; I also remember enjoying my tacos and jalapeño poppers. I've been dining at this restaurant for 15 years. They've consistently faced staffing challenges because it feels like a family-run establishment, and the staff mainly comprises family and friends. That said, I've become accustomed to it! The food, on the other hand, is always of high quality and remains extremely consistent. Over the past two years filled with COVID, they have raised their prices by about 10%. To me, this still adds up to a fantastic experience, and unless something significant changes, Old Mexico will always receive a five-star rating from me. I believe in supporting local businesses and ownership!
I wish I would have read the reviews first ! It's a snow storm out so I didn't want to go far for food. I had a taste for authentic Mexican so I decided to try this place. I'm made I just paid $11 for my food to come on a paper plate and The flavor was just. Ok. I could've made this at home !!! It just doesn't have that AUTHENTIC Mexican taste to me. I will say the portion is a nice size though. I got the Monterey nachos. Didn't care for the salsa it came with either. I probably won't be back . The customer Service was awesome , just wish the food as better
Honestly, we initially aimed for another Mexican restaurant nearby, but it was packed. Given the current situation with COVID, we wanted to avoid large crowds. I took my mom out for her 65th birthday, and we were promptly seated. The restaurant isn’t very large, but the food was delicious. Our server was incredibly nice, and I really appreciated the guy with blonde hair who answered the phone. The margaritas were delightful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. My mom had a great time, so we will definitely be returning!
Please never come here. This place is disgusting. Not only the food is terrible. Covid is in there lol just by watching how they clean up after people this place is a big no for me. I've never been so sad eating Mexican food in my life beside los amigos Go try it for yourself to find out. But don't tell me i didn't tell you so.

I've been visiting this restaurant for many years, and I have no complaints. The staff are always friendly, the prices are amazing, and the food is consistently excellent. It's definitely worth a visit!
not real authentic Mexican food very bland. Gave me food poisoning food was bland canned taste definitely could tell. They need to close good riddance
