We went for a little relaxing holiday. We found a hotel without atmosphere and unfriendly. The room was missing toilet paper, bathrobe and other things. The pool had cold water and we couldn't stay in it. I booked a small luxurious holiday but in reality it was not to my liking. We went to the pub, the food was good but the service was terrible. We certainly won't be back, too bad. Rooms: I had booked a large room and upon arrival they gave me a different room to the one I had booked, then I had to go to reception and they changed it for me. The room was missing toilet paper bathrobe and other things.
Stayed here many years ago and needed a location midway to meet a friend for lunch. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Sadly not a full menu find this in a lot of places). The food we chose was very nice and portion size was adequate leaving space for dessert. Dessert was tasty although didn't feel description of the sticky toffee as fondant was terribly accurate. Felt a little pricy for a lunch but food prices are on the rise. Seating not very comfy, did much better when we popped in later after out walk and had a drink in much comfier seats. Possibly would visit again as location works well.
I had a fantastic experience at the Old Swan pub! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the entire visit memorable. Had an issue with the heating not working in the room that I was allocated, this was sorted and I was given a new room, service was really good. Great Venue had a really good evening Meal. Only let down was the breakfast and service at breakfast time,not sure if it was just a bad morning. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5

My now wife and I recently got married here. The whole weekend was brilliant. The food was excellent, the rooms were great and the staff were amazing, doing whatever they could to make us and our guests stay as good as possible, nothing was too much work. Perfect pub very cosy and lovely food, felt very homely there, only one thing that made me and my boyfriend leave is the comments we heard from the chef in the kitchen after asking for a dessert menu, immediately made us feel unwelcomed and left. Personally wouldn’t of signed up to a job knowing what to expect
We ate at The Swan we just wanted something light as very hot but had great food. Ploughman's sharing board was great and the baked Alaska was fab. Lovely! Great attentive staff we will be back Food drinks: Already mentioned above Service: 5 Location: 5
