Olive Bizarre is located near the pier, making it a perfect spot for a coffee and delicious homemade food after a walk. The staff are friendly and welcoming. During our weekend trip to Newcastle in January, we were recommended this little gem and were not disappointed. Despite the busyness, we had to sit outside but were provided with hot water bottles to keep us warm, a nice touch. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area.
Quirky and unique. Visited this fabulous place around 15 times over last 3 years. Always welcoming and efficient. Great array of home made snacks, traybakes and yummy meals. Breakfasts and lunch particularly wholesome and healthy. The coffee is so good and great range of other drinks. Staff are always so helpful. Good value for money and an example of excellent for others to follow.
The coffee shop is beautiful with a great menu that includes gluten-free options. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We enjoyed a delicious blueberry and lemon muffin and a gluten-free flapjack, along with plenty of tea served in our own individual teapots. The teapots even had their own little tea cozy, which was a cute touch. Highly recommend!
Called in on Saturday 11th February 2023 for their afternoon tea. Service was quick and the staff friendly and helpful. The food arrived and it was terrific. Sandwiches were delicious and fantastic scones, still warm when brought to us. The tray bakes again were delicious coupled with lovely tea it was a great day out. I come to this restaurant every day when I'm home, without fail! I usually get takeout because I'm on the go, but I also love dining in when I have the chance. I adore the food, especially the fishcakes, soups, and quiches. They are all really delicious. The staff is also very friendly.
Lovely place with a beautiful view. I sat outside with my dog and the friendly staff took my order and brought it out to me. I had coffee and delicious porridge with stewed rhubarb. Dog bowls filled with water around the seating area were a nice touch.
Went along for lunch with high expectations and came away delighted. Food was amazing, menu was very expansive and the staff were extremely professional and organised. Cannot highly recommend this hidden gem enough.
Had brunch here yesterday and it is was absolutely gorgeous. Eggs benedict with croissant and smoked salmon. Very friendly staff. Got to sit outside which was great as a beautiful view across the sea and harbour. Réservez une table maintenant
Everytime we eat here, we try something different and the food is always exceptionally tasty. Fresh, delicious and delightfully presented. Can't recommend enough!
