Olive Oak - Réserver une table

We randomly stumbled in here out of sheer hunger and curiosity one day. That was over a year ago and we’ve been back many times since. One of our all time favorite spots and our go to whenever we’re feeling something a little on the fancier side. Olive Oak, in my opinion, meshes the worlds of casual and fine dining perfectly. The food is without a doubt the best of the best but the atmosphere isn’t uptight and pretentious. The staff is knowledgeable, down to earth, and friendly but they’ll still refill your wine glass of sparkling water for you without asking. Balanced as everything should be. Their menu is constantly changing, giving way to variety and exploration. The cloud cake dessert is absolutely insane a must try. Just get it. My personal favorite thing on the menu, however, is the wings. Red coconut curry, maple, and ginger. Glazed bliss. The chicken itself is cooked perfectly and the meat is first rate. 9.2/10 clucks.

Atmosphere is great. Service was a little slow. At places like this, I'm used to the server keeping a good pace with drinks, apps, entrees etc., but we kept having lulls where we wondered where the server was to take our next order. We had cheese curds and the crab dip to start. Fried cheese is always good, but the crab dip was billed as a crowd favorite, and I didn't care for it. Maybe the pretzle chips were a little overdone? We split the Caesar salad and a kale salad. Kale was overdressed, but both were pretty good. I had the tuna as an entree. I think maybe the place was hyped too much before I went because I had really high expectations, and I thought the food was just ok. Not bad in any way, but not worth the hype. I'd try again and order something else next time. Dessert was really good butterscotch pudding and some pecan maple thing.

Excellent food! Excellent atmosphere! The menu variety if great, and everyone can find something delicious on the menu. I liked my steak and my oysters! I highly recommend this place!
