My friend and I arrived here today at 3pm. We were rudely approached by a man and woman who just said where do you want to sit, no friendly greeting at all! We were shown to a seat next to the toilet and when we asked if there were any other seats available we were rudely told no, they 've been busy all day and upstairs was closed . Lady came to take our order saying abruptly what do you want? ! No please or thank you. Food arrived and whilst we were eating a lady was mopping the floor around us! We were then told they were shutting at 4 therefore making us rush our food. We asked where to pay and again were rudely told pay at the front . No pleasantries whatsoever. This restaurant does not treat its guests well. I attended with a friend and went upstairs, we told were by the waitress to sit on the table with the sauces and knives and forks on it was a two seater table with no room for anything due to all the sauce bottles and piles of knives and forks on! Despite the restaurant being empty. We thought we must have misheard the waitress so sat on the table next to it another two seater. The waitress came up, looked at us, tutted and said “oh you have sat here”. Very abruptly and very rudely. There is no respect for repeat customers and they cram as many customers in as possible to make money, yet treat people terribly.
Arrived at the Olive tree around 3 with no friendly greeting. We were rudely told there were no seats available upstairs and the only available seats were by the toilets. We then were abruptly approached to order our food with no basic manners from the staff. Whilst we were eating our food the staff were literally mopping the floor around our feet. It got to around 3.40 and we were rudely told that the store was closing at 4 so we should hurry. We were forced to quickly finish our food, when we asked where to pay the lady abruptly said ‘At the front’. One of the worst experiences I have ever had.
On Saturday, our group of seven enjoyed a delicious brunch at this restaurant. The menu offered a wide variety of options, including breakfast items, and the service was friendly and efficient. Our orders, even the more complex ones, were delivered promptly and accurately. The food was delicious and we found the prices to be reasonable as well. Overall, a great dining experience. Ordered 2 make your own breakfast from deliveroo firstly it was freezing cold and disgusting did not enjoy. Also not happy that I paid £11 for this monstrosity. To top is of we had to share a tiny pot of beans between 2 of us. can assure you I will not be ordering again or will I ever visit this place
If you're searching for a peaceful and cozy cafe near Enfield Chase station, then you must visit the Olive Tree cafe. They serve perfectly cooked eggs royale and delicious coffee, all delivered by extremely friendly staff. This place comes highly recommended and we will definitely be returning!
