Das Oliveira‘s liegt etwas versteckt, jedoch durchaus zentral hinter der Hofkirche. Das Lokal wirkt von aussen zurückhaltend, im grosszügigen Innern dominieren die rustikalen 70er Jahre. Der Empfang ist unkompliziert burschikos, man fühlt sich hier gleich wohl. Das Restaurant ist eine Familienangelegenheit, der Vater ist der Chef am Herd, die Jungen schmeissen den Service. Die Karte verspricht typisch portugiesische Küche, das Angebot ist breit, insbesondere beim Fisch, wobei Gerichte mit Kabeljau dominieren. Die Teller präsentieren sich sehr schön, die Portionen sind reichlich verhungern muss hier niemand. Die Kochkunst bewegt sich durchwegs auf hohem Niveau, die Speisen sind wunderbar schm...
Nice restaurant for Portuguese inspired food tucked away in a corner. I got the leek/sausage soup and … it requires an acquired taste. It was salty for me bc the sausage was salty and then the sogginess of the leeks did not match with my palate. For the main entree, I got skewered octopus with veggies and that was delicious. I loved everything on my plate except for boiled spinach(?…not sure what plant this was). Server was nice and welcoming. They have clean bathrooms in the basement with a/c. The restaurant dining room itself didn’t have a/c or fans so it was hot eating dinner. A glass of wine or beer are actually cheaper or cost the same as water.

The food and the place are good. But when I paid with my cell phone with American Express... the owner started to reproach me because I paid with that card and that I couldn't do that. I then asked him why he accepted it if it bothered him so much. He told me a movie and then told me that I had to pay with bills. When you give options you can't get angry because we didn't choose the one you like the most. A shame, the rest was good Réservez une table maintenant
Wow, wow, wow! We went for dinner here during our stay in Lucern. By far the best restaurant I have been to during our Europe trip. The food was amazing, I recommend the octopus salad and the fillet steak. The quality of the meat was 5 stars. The chef comes to the tables to check everyone is happy and the staff is really nice. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Visit to 4 family trip Lucerne Late arrival but...fortunately Oliveiras's was in our luck. Detour and pitstop are strongly recommended. Good food served by Good people. Impeccable welcome and almost closing. Quick, effective and with lots of flavor. Very rare in Switzerland!!! Top de chez Top. GO FOR IT We'll be back;
