olivia makes a good job for what they need to work with. U.S. food in Germany is very difficult due to the lack of high quality bark meat and the limited selection of cheese and sauces. I've been here for almost 4 years and that's as close as it goes without importing individual items. the parade example is the cheese for the nachos and the cheese steak, olivia’s uses the locally available substitutes. the nachos lacks the taste of the expected cheddar or Colby/Jack cheese. and the cheese steak needs cheez wiz (as with pat’s in philly) or provolone. the burgers are good and the homemade rolls (sweet and not sweetened with sugar) are a nice addition, but these rolls do not fit well to the che...
Whether they are to be visited in there and have children who long for their home, or whether they are a native there, olivia’s diner should not be missed! the best rippchen in the opposite - even better than caroline’s or the road house! one of the very few restaurants that offers American beer. ben and jerry’s ice cream is served and new in the diner are thick American milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, complete with a whipped cream and a cherry top cream. the atmosphere recalls the old route 66 diners. we should know... we live in springfield, illinois. at olivia this day goes uphill and more good things will come.
I have eaten one night during my stay in theremund too evening. the restaurant is a replica of an American diner from the 50s and inside very realistic with furniture and decorations! the menu is quite simple and offers mainly burgers, which they can possibly prove. but eating is very good and they stack the pommes high so they don't have to starve here. also the
what a fantastic place. everything is homemade, even the rolls. they really know how to prepare real American food. it is easy to find off the main road and the beer in ice-cold glasses, which is a pleasure. we will definitely come back to breakfast with steak and iron. Do not miss this place when they are in there.

they said they had visited guests in 40 states. I had expected a hearty and thick American milkshake. I got the standard German 3 small balls ice cream, much milk, which corresponds to a cold chocolate milk. they should increase the price and make a real milkshake.
the facility is very nice and nostalgic, but it would be much better if they could also listen to music from the 50s. eating is not bad and I would go back there, but I don't think it's special. the prices are quite high.
in a nice couple we were pampered with a huge burger of the month (fortunately also in half size, 120 grams) and a large buckling pancake. great brave American taste, great service, highly recommended!
good service, large portions with great food! they can eat their burger with almost everything they can imagine. American interieur in style of the 50s with matching dips and music.
