We were seated in the bar area, where the bartender was busy managing several tables while also making drinks. This made it difficult for him to attend to the tables effectively. It took over 20 minutes for our guacamole and queso to arrive! However, everything tasted great once it got to us. Unfortunately, it seems that On The Border consistently struggles with their service.
Our waiter was amazing! We felt bad for him because they seem obviously understaffed. He was host/waiter/busboy but he still managed to take out order in a timely manner, we got our food quickly and everything was perfect! He needs a raise!
The experience was disappointing and lacked excitement. The service was poor – I was charged for raw shrimp that were meant to be included in the fajita deal, and then the waitress removed the shrimp from my plate without explanation.
Food was okay for chain Mexican food. Went on a Saturday night at 5:45 ish and was seated right away. Haven't been there in years and noticed the menu options have shrank since my last visit. Réservez une table maintenant

Mexican chicken was amazing! Savory, spicy, and accompanied with lime rice and fresh fried vegetables. Perfect touches of cilantro!
Super nice staff. Atmosphere is welcoming. Food is chain restaurant level, but not bad. A few decent healthy options, too.
