Looked ok, looked quite busy, Didn 't bother to check on tripadvisor. Mistake. Starters were a mixed bag of ok and not ok. The mains came and one of us ordered the chicken but got a (chewy stringy) beef steak. When asked to change it the waiter said it was no possible... chicken .. it feenished ... no more ... feenished . And walked off. (he may be from Barcelona) The (bought in) deserts came for all: except me. No explanation. So I asked the waiter who pointed to another guest ,, It is him. He has last one . the menu of the day was cheap.. the service and food bizarre.
We had long planned to try this place as it looked friendly and easy-going. When we finally tried it one lunchtime we found it was totally patronised by tradesmen on their lunch breaks, sitting often at long tables refectory style. In fact my wife was the only female Customer! The food was bottom end Catalan cooking, chuletas and chips dripping in olive oil, with desserts bought in from Walls or similar. Even at 11 Euros for a 3-course meal, we will not be going back, despite the pleasing terrace and view.
I visited this place with my family, I have 3 kids. The service was so incredibly friendly and if you have kids you know how threatening service can be at times. The local cat was miaowing loudly from the next room, he must have known the food was also quite good. Do not expect refined cuisine, it is very solid and consistent food. I loved every dish and we shared many. It is user-friendly and very approachable and quite economic. Thank you for the hospitality.
A veritable haven on a very wet night. Friendly and attentive service without being obtrusive. Excellent quality food. Very reasonable price.
