First time here, had an early dinner before going over to Segerstrom. We decided to try the chef’s table experience the food did not disappoint. Homemade pasta, high quality sauces from scratch, seafood crudo, perfectly cooked steak Italian donut to wrap up the evening. Note that the interior gives the impression that the evening will be casual quick service quality food, but don’t let first impressions deceive you. The quality of food put out by this Italian family run restaurant is worthy of a white table cloth environment. Looking forward to returning here soon!
On July 7, 2023, we dined here for the first time and absolutely loved it. The service was excellent, the food was delightful, and it provided a lovely atmosphere for a date. It's worth noting that we visited during a long holiday week, so it may have been quieter than usual. My favorite items were the espresso martini and the Nutella cheesecake.
The food and service were both outstanding. The bar is fantastic, and the location is much better than the old Coco's on Bristol. We used to love Il Barone when it was at the old Quilted Peacock site, so it’s great to see them back in action after the challenges many local restaurants faced due to COVID.
This is the BEST Italian food in OC!! Pasta is perfectly al dente, lasagna is perfect, fish is always fresh. When you come here you feel like part of the family. Don’t let the quiet place fool you, the food will keep bring you back again and again. Go for the hi girly specials, you won’t regret it.

Il Barone has always been one of my go to places in Orange County. The food and service are always exceptional Donatella and Franco do an amazing job
Wonderful food, expertly prepared. The crostini were amazing and I even purchased some to take home. My Crudo was amazing! Definitely will return.
Fantastic menu and food. Met the owner. They have great event space as well if you are looking for a place to host a party.
The best Italian food I've ever tasted. If I had the chance, I would enjoy the Cacio e Pepe every single day!
