I really just wanted some vegan friendly dorms, but I always ended up some of their freshly cut pumice as well as some of their spinach and rice. The employee who helped me was very strange. He wasn't necessarily rude, but he wasn't really helpful either. I recommended that I was vegan and asked about certain menu items and their vegan friendliness. His answers seemed uncertain, even though he assured me he knew what he was talking about. He explained that spinach and rice were vegan and did not contain dairy products or animal broth. I pray he was right. DOLMAS You get six little daggers for $7. The dolmen were very good, but about price for size and portion. OPA HOMEMADE FRIES sooo tasty!...

My daughter is a strict vegetarian and while she visited Rochester recently, she was worried to find places she could eat. Our hotel had guided tours for local places including menus in the rooms and we found Opa Opa. Not only do they have a wide selection of vegetarian options, I think there were several who were vegan or could be vegan by just not asking for cheese. The food there was great, I loved the lentil soup, and we both tried the falafel something I had heard of, but never able to try. The place is small and can be loud when busy, but the food is worth it and they also take it.

I was in a mood for Gyros when I visited Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. After googling, this place came up that’s not too far from Apache Mall, the only mall in Rochester. This was a very unique experience when I saw the menu. They had something called spicy Gyro platter which sounded very different and I had to try it. It is spicy and comes with very thin flat fries. The taste was great if you like spicy food and gyros. There is sit in area or you can do take out. Lots of other shopping and restaurants in that same area and easy to get in and out from Hwy.

As always, the gyro was PHENOMENAL! It's never a let down. The rice pillaf was flavorful, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. This small food joint delivers on taste for sure!!
