I will say this was the most mediocre dining experience I've had lately and at this price point that's kind of a problem. The food was *okay*. The service was....lacking. I'm not sure if it was early at 11:30am or because I'm very brown, wear cute summer dresses, and don't look like the rest of their clientele. No idea, but I rather expect better experience at $40/plate. I've had better service at McDonald's. The salad was eh. A very boring, normal, salad. I could make the same at home which is once again a problem when I'm eating out. I will say the peach Bellini was excellent. What a delightful and unexpected surprise to find this relatively new restaurant! We have long decried the lack of original and nice restaurants in the Newburgh area, which makes Orange Hill quite a find. The service was extremely good; the food was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely no blaring televisions or noisy bar crowd. Orange Hill is located in the former Neptune Diner location, but the new owners have completely transformed the interior into a very nice, quiet space, perfect for a romantic dining experience. There is still some construction going on outside, but not during dinner hours. All and all, we were extremely pleased with our experience, and will definitely be returning!
Recommend by a friend therefore made a special long trip for lunch checking it out with my spouse. We went many times across the street for shopping but did not notice the restaurant. Anyway, the decor seemed appealing with the menu providing international cuisines. Ordered one seafood sampler and a chicken parmigiana with pasta. However the food was really not ok and we both were very disappointed. Regretted walking in and should have gone to any dinner instead. At least we knew now.
Orange Hill is a wonderful, fairly upscale restaurant for the location. The only complaints I have are about the wine selections: they are far more expensive than they are quality. In other words, the high price doesn 't match the low quality of veritals. My second complaint is their sign. The sign does not reflect the class of restaurant Orange Hill is. The sign gives deli/ salad bar vibes when this is a classy restaurant with a full bar and to notch service.
So delicious, fancy, and reasonable priced. We had cauliflower fritters tasked so well. The Vegatarian menu was extensive. The decor insides were warm and inviting. Fresh new updates. Staff is very attentive and pleasant. We will be back her again for sure!Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian choices. A cauliflower steak and cauliflower fritters. Very well done.
As a huge fan of Citrus in New Windsor, I’m so excited I finally got a chance to try out her sister restaurant Orange Hill. Everything we had was exceptional. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. Our service was great and the interior has a modern and inviting atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to dine here!
