The overall experience was nice. The ambiance was sober and stylish. The service was good but not perfect. We ordered two different menues and got most of what we ordered, except for the last dish. One of us had chosen six out of the seven 'Orangerie menue', wanted to exclude the seventh sweet dessert, but got that one instead of the sixth cheese plate. So, a kind of 'wrong order' but a nice one that we left uncommented. The wine pairing was impeccable, one of them even extraordinary. Our experiences with one star restaurants have made us expect more. This star might be hanging loose.
The reataurant has everthing what a restaurant of this kind needs to offer. Besides the high-class meals, a very sophisticated and traditional interior and a perfect educaded staff. But it was more than that, we have choosen the combination of the fish and seefood menue with wine. Especially the dish with a salmon, kaviar & seewead combination with a riesling was marvelous.The somelier did a great job and we hope we have the chance again to get a table if we are back jn the region. 5 stars!
We felt comfortable from the first second and spent a very nice evening. The service is friendly, attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. We had four in the 4 course menu. Waiting times were short, the progress and transitions were excellent. I personally had Saltimbocca from rabbit, chicken, lamb and sweet dessert. All dishes were delicious and excellent. It wasn't better in Timmendorfer Strand. Prices are suitable for quality and service. We like to come back.
This is a hidden gem- situated in the basement of the kitsch Maritim hotel. Alas no sea views. Décor is a tad old fashioned but in the good way. Staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Food is refined french with some asian influences. Subtle flavours. Great seafood. Great wine list. Limited parking. Reservations in the evening is advisable. Well done! I shall return and enjoy another excellent meal there. Réservez une table maintenant
A very nice restaurant, even if the interior has come in the years. You feel comfortable. The menu by Lutz Niemann in conjunction with the wine recommendation by Ralf Brönner is harmonious. You can feel the experience in the team. The hosting was unnoticed and attentive. Everything fits perfectly, the dishes, the wine tasting and the ambience. Thanks for the experience.
Great Restaurant... situated right at the seaside .... it offer a perfect view at the sea.the only thing in Timmendorfer is the Weather ... sometimes sunny, sometimes raining,,, you never dont know how s the weather is going to be for the whole day :) !!!The place is really beatiful for a relaxed weekend...!!! will go back again to have a nice dinner !!!
It was excellent . It was a revelation from welcoming and placing on the excellent 7-course menu with excellent and friendly service and the associated Amuse Bouche, Snacks, PreDes, Formaggio, Petit Four. Especially warm and excellent thanks to Lutz Niemann and his team.
